We, The FSJ Sisters follow the vision of St. Francis. Our sisters live together, pray together, support one another like a family, and work in the world with the charism of our beloved founder John Aelen. We exercise to exemplify the concurrent simplicity and challenge of Franciscan spirituality which are clear and direct reminders of the Gospel life.
We cultivate Franciscan hearts open to what Pope Francis calls the Joy of the Gospel. This not-so-special spirituality is an invitation to a relationship with all people, to work with our brothers and sisters in everyday life, and to follow in the footprints of Christ. From a more positive way of thinking about God and creation, we can but in order to transform the world into a communion of love centered in Christ. Therefore, to deepen our relationship to God in the Franciscan way, we regularly and attentively contact with the world in its simple, humble state.
The celebration of the Eucharist is the very core of our religious life. We participate in the holy mass, which is the foundation of Christian life and the summit and source of all worship, offering ourselves along with Christ as a sacrifice to the Lord God . The Eucharist is the centre of our way of life and it is for our communitarian and personal nourishment.
