FSJ Sisters Chennai

The Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph was founded by Fr. John Aelen , a Mill Hill Missionary who later became the Archbishop of Madras. He established the Congregation in the year 1887 with a team of three members. The Congregation attained its Pontifical status on 7th April 1998. The guiding spirit of the Lord has worked wonders through the ages leaving an indelible mark on the sands of time.
